OVERVIEW

This excursion is for guests that use a cane/walker, have limited mobility issues or for companions of those guest that have booked mobility equipment tour.

Tour includes step-free routes, shorter distances and no stairs. Accessible restrooms with wide doors for wheelchairs are present along the tour route. Vehicles are adapted with an access ramp (or lift where available) to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs and/or mobility scooters. Guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs; therefore, guests needing special assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied.

Settle in for an enlightening drive around Willemstad and pause at landmarks that best showcase Curaçao’s capital city. What better place to start than at Landhuis Chobolobo, the distillery that produces the island’s namesake Blue Curaçao. You will enjoy tastings and see how the liqueur is made from a variety of orange only found on Curaçao. Aloe also flourishes on the island as you will discover at a farm that cultivates this fleshy succulent with healing properties. You will also have the chance to shop for products that contain aloe such as lotions, shower gels and anti-wrinkle creams. Following lunch on your own at the seaside restaurant Brisa Do Mar, you will continue down the coast passing vast salt pans on the way to Jan Thiel Beach. Afterwards, you will stop in Handelskade, where you will see the iconic row of brightly colored Dutch colonial buildings featured on most every postcard.
